Residential Rehabilitation

Residential treatment provides a period away from your normal routines and environment.

It is an intense programme of care and support for people who are not suited to treatment within a community setting, but are motivated to change their substance misuse. Generally this treatment lasts between three and twelve months. This treatment can be of huge benefit, but does not suit everyone. A person accessing this will require an understanding of the nature and expectations of the rehabilitation programme, and be fully prepared for these.

This preparation may mean having accessed support in the community first. Access to this service is through a Turning Point key worker or a Probation Officer. These staff will work with the Turning Point Community Care Link Worker to talk through this option with you, before approaching the rehabilitation panel for a decision.
